Magnified 45X, each lightweight plastic model reveals the detailed microanatomy of a stem section. The monocot re-creation is modeled after a corn stem and is represented in cross and longitudinal sections.
The important structures of cuticular layer, epidermis, parenchymatous tissue, and the details of closed vascular bundles are all shown. The dicot version is modeled after a sunflower stem. Cross, radial, and tangential sections highlight the epidermis, cork layer, phloem, xylem, cambium, pith, and more. Both models include a key identifying 12 structures. Size of monocot: 13 3/4”L x 11”W x 6 1/2”H. Size of dicot: 15 1/4”L x 15 1/4”W x 4 3/4”H.
